What is your jewelry made from?

Each piece is handcrafted using high-quality, full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. Our designs are individually hand-drawn, stamped, tooled, laser-engraved, and hand-painted- meaning no two pieces are ever exactly alike. 

This is what gives your piece its character and makes it truly yours.

Why choose leather?

Leather is meant to live with you. It softens, deepens, and evolves over time- becoming more beautiful with every wear. This isn't fast fashion. It's something you keep that can last for generations.

Can leather get wet?

Leather is naturally durable, but it is not waterproof. 

 

We seal each piece to help protect it from everyday wear, but we recommend avoiding full water exposure like swimming, showering, or washing dishes.

 

A little rain or life happening? That's okay. It's part of the story your leather will tell over time. 

What if my leather gets wet?

Simply pat it dry with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry naturally. 

Avoid heat (no blow dryers or heaters). Overtime, your piece may develop subtle marks or changes- this is called a patina, and it's one of the most beautiful parts of real leather.

Should I condition my leather?

We don't recommend applying conditioners or treatments.

Your piece is already finished and sealed- adding product can alter the look and feel of the leather. 

What do the backs of the earrings look like?

The backsides of each earrings is left in its natural leather state.

Because of the fibrous texture of high-quality leather, we're unable to apply designs to the back- but this raw finish is part of what makes each piece authentic. 

If you prefer your earrings to always face forward, we recommend upgrading to sterling silver or 14KT gold-filled hardware and requesting, "no jump rings".

How long does shipping take?

Each piece is handcrafted, so processing times may vary. If you're wanting something quickly we have an, "available now" section where items ship from our studio within 1-3 business days. For international orders, shipping times can take approximately 1-4 weeks on top of processing times depending on location and customs processing. 

Will I be charged customs or duties?

International orders may be subject to customs fees and import taxes once they arrive in your country. 

These fees are determined by your local government and are the responsibility of the customer. 

Are your pieces re-stocked?

Many of our designs are released in small, intentional batches without the possibility of a re-stock. 

Because each piece is handcrafted quantities are limited- and some styles may not return once sold out.

If something speaks to you, we recommend not waiting.

Each release is designed to be collected, not mass produced.

Do you offer single earrings?

Have you lost one of your favorites?

In select cases, we may be able to recreate a single earring depending on the design and material availability.

What materials are used in your hardware?

We offer a variety of high-quality hardware options, including hypoallergenic selections such as sterling silver and 14KT gold filled. 

Our antiqued brass hardware is nickel-free and works for most people. However, if you have sensitivities, we always recommend selecting sterling silver or 14KT gold filled for the most comfortable wear. You must, however, request this hardware upgrade in the "notes to seller" box at check-out. 

What are your customer service hours?

​​We're a small, hands-on business, and every message is read with care.

We check messages around the clock and will aim to respond Monday-Friday, within 24-48 hours.

During high-volume times or launches, response times may be slightly longer- we truly appreciate your patience. 

What is your return & exchange policy?

We want you to truly love your Sweet Creek Leather piece!

If something isn't quite right, we're happy to offer returns for store credit.

  • Please contact us within 5 days of delivery.

  • Items must be unworn and in resale condition.

  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. 

​Once your return is received and approved, you will be issued a store credit (minus original shipping costs) to use on a future purchase. 

Because each piece is handcrafted in small batches, we encourage reviewing details carefully before purchasing.

SHIPPING ON RETURNS

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. 

  • We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method, as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
